1. Who we are

Odwyddw is an independent informational website about Salik, Dubai's electronic toll system. We are located at Unit 702, Bay Square Building 5, Business Bay, Dubai, United Arab Emirates, P.O. Box 393711. We are not affiliated with Salik Company PJSC or the Roads and Transport Authority (RTA).

2. Data we collect

We may process the following information:

• Contact form data: your name, email address, optional phone number, chosen topic and message.
• Top up helper data: the Salik tag number or plate details, mobile number, email and amount you type into the form. At present this information stays in your browser and is not transmitted to us.
• Technical data: basic information such as browser type, device type and pages visited, collected through necessary cookies and, if you accept them, analytics cookies.

We never ask for or store payment card details.

3. How we use your data

• To reply to your questions and feedback.
• To operate, secure and improve the website.
• To understand which Salik recharge guides are most useful, using aggregated statistics.
• To comply with legal obligations applicable in the United Arab Emirates.

4. Legal basis

We process personal data on the basis of your consent (for example when you submit the contact form or accept analytics cookies), our legitimate interest in running a reliable website, and compliance with applicable law, including the UAE Federal Decree-Law No. 45 of 2021 on the Protection of Personal Data where it applies.

5. Sharing your data

We do not sell personal data. We may share limited data with service providers who host the website or provide analytics, under agreements that require them to protect it. We may disclose information if required by law or by a competent UAE authority.

6. How long we keep data

Messages sent through the contact form are kept for up to 24 months so we can follow up on related questions, then deleted. Analytics data is kept in aggregated form. Cookie lifetimes are listed in our Cookie Policy.

7. Your rights

Subject to applicable law, you may ask to access, correct or delete your personal data, to restrict or object to its processing, or to withdraw consent at any time. To make a request, email hello@odwyddw.com. We will respond within 30 days.

8. Security

We use reasonable technical and organisational measures, including encrypted connections, to protect personal data. No online service can be completely secure, so please avoid sending sensitive information such as passwords or card numbers through our forms.
